The most common types of properties in the Riviera Maya are:

And studio apartments and 1-bedroom apartments are the best for vacation rentals, but you should consider that 1-bedroom apartments have an extra cost, I’ll explain it further.

What are the differences between a Studio and a 1-bedroom apartment?
There are mainly 2:
- The studio is a studio apartment, meaning it’s a single space where everything is located, such as the bed, dining area, air conditioning, and kitchenette. The only thing separated by a door is the bathroom.
- In the 1-bedroom apartment, there is a wall with a door that separates the bedroom from the rest, this is the main difference. On average, this raises the price by 10%. Additionally, this type of unit has 1 more air conditioning unit than the studio, so maintenance, electricity, and cleaning costs are higher.
